Channel 5’s popular television programme Toby’s Travelling Circus required a website to handle competition entries as part of a new marketing campaign for their UK distributors Delta Music.
The aim of the website was to collect the names and email addresses of interested viewers for a mailing list. By answering a quiz question, and ticking a checkbox to confirm that the terms and conditions had been agreed to, the visitors name and email address is automatically entered into a MailChimp database.
Using the MailChimp API the operation is entirely seamless. This data is instantly ready for a promotional campaign and no administrative tasks whatsoever are required in between.
After submitting the correct quiz answer, the visitor is given a promotional discount code that can be used on related purchases from Amazon, as well as links to other products that they might be interested in.
The website is completely responsive and mobile-friendly, so visitors on any device can have a clear and enjoyable experience.
